🌳 Planted in 1842, this oak has seen more golf than any member ever will and it’s not going anywhere.

Originally beside the 1st tee on the old course layout, it now rests between the 8th and 12th holes - a silent witness to every swing, round, and memory made. It’s more than a tree. It’s part of our story.

A National Trust listed oak, standing tall for over 180 years. It’s been here longer than the clubhouse, longer than the course itself. When our layout changed, the tree stayed, because some things are too significant to move.

In the early ‘80s, we made it official: this oak became part of our club logo.

Not all course features are designed, some are inherited. This oak is a reminder of where we came from and what we stand for.

If you’ve ever walked beneath its branches, you’ve walked through history.

We'd love to hear your memories in the comments!
